Dole

Dole Fresh Vegetables has issued a precautionary recall of 2,880 cases of Italian Blend salads with the use-by date of 19 June.

The company is working closely with regulatory officials amid concerns about a possible risk of listeriosis, a foodborne illness caused by bacteria.

No illnesses have been linked to the salads that are now under recall.

The salads were distributed in 12 US states (Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Wisconsin) and three Canadian provinces (New Brunswick, Ontario and Quebec).
