The Argentinean lemon industry’s quality export group All Lemon has celebrated its second anniversary with highly positive results in terms of quality control management among its member companies.
The group recently exhibited for the third consecutive year at Fruit Logistica 2012 with a 66m2 stand, according to a press release from the organisation.
In only two years, the quality seal has gained the recognition and respect of the fruit industry, All Lemon said.
“Delivering on the promises made to our customers, maintaining the level of self-demand, and speaking through facts are the key to continuing to provide an excellent service, the group noted.
Among the key achievements and results are ensuring that all information printed on each carton of All Lemon-branded fruit is an accurate reflection of its quality, size, weight and traceability, among other attributes.
For greater assurance, the group has also increased its number of quality controls at the packhouses of all member companies from three weekly controls in 2010 to five controls in 2011.
Last year, All Lemon boosted the quality standard of its lemons by 25 per cent against 2010, thereby achieving enriched and quality fruit with a homogeneous and stable aesthetic.
The group has also designed and put in place contingency plans against frosts, which are typical of the winter period in Tucumán, to ensure that exported fruit reaches its destination in optimal conditions.
In addition, All Lemon has increased its joint actions in relation to corporate social responsibility, further differentiating its member companies on account of their positive impact on the community and the environment.
During the last year, All Lemon-branded fruit exports to under-explored markets such as Hong Kong, Middle East, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia rose fourfold in comparison to 2010.
All Lemon was established in 2010 and now comprises 15 member companies, namely Argentina’s leading exporters.
