Chiquita Fresh Funds

Chiquita Brands International has unveiled a new consumer loyalty scheme aimed at encouraging consumers to eat more of its products by rewarding their loyalty to the Chiquita and Fresh Express brands.

The Fresh Funds programme is offering shoppers in the US the opportunity to win prizes, donate to charity and bid for items in weekly online auctions using points they accumulate from packs of Fresh Express prepared salads and Chiquita-branded fresh-cut fruit and vegetables.

Under the tagline Healthy Rewards for Healthy Living, this week's auction item is a Nintendo Wii Fit pack, underlining the fact that healthy living is a key focus of the new campaign.

While Fresh Express organic salads are not part of the programme, consumers can collect 10, 20 or 40 points at any one time from packs of Chiquita Fruit and Veggie Bites, Fresh Express Gourmet Café salads and conventional Fresh Express packaged salads.

Those joining the Fresh Funds scheme will not only be able to win and bid for prizes, but will also have access to a range of information including advice on healthy snacking.
