Washington apples

The Washington Apple Commission, the Wenatchee, US-based marketing organisation, has revealed that it has made three changes to its personnel structure.

Ken Severns, interim president at the commission, announced that Rebecca Baerveldt had been promoted to manager of strategic planning, government relations and grant writing from her previous post as export marketing manager.

Project manager Todd Fryhover has been promoted to the position of export operations director, Mr Severn said, while Robin Money, the Commission's vice-president and treasurer, had added operations director to her title.

Despite the changes, the group remains without a full-time president following a decision in July by the board of directors to place former president Dave Carlson on administrative leave.
