Norbert Dentressangle has seen revenues grow 10 per cent year-on-year through the first nine months of 2012, up to €2.64bn, a result boosted by acquisitions made in 2011.

According to the group's latest financial report, volumes remained stable through the nine-month period at constant exchange rates, while there was consolidation despite the depressed market.

Revenues earned outside of the group's home market of France now account for 59 per cent of total revenue, while the company also purchased the John Keells Group freight forwarding business in Sri Lanka.

'In a sharply deteriorating economy in the third quarter, especially in France, Norbert Dentressangle held up well buoyed by strong new business wins and tight cost management, and we maintain our plan for growth,' said chief executive officer François Bertreau.

The transport division posted revenues of €1.5bn, up 5.1 per cent on 2011, while Logistics saw growth of 13.7 per cent to €1.3bn and freight forwarding maintained growth with a rise in revenue to €102m from €55m.
