The countdown is on to the inaugural Global Vegetable Congress, the new conference and expo event for excellence in fresh vegetable marketing, which takes place in Almeria, Spain, on 27-28 June.

Delegates will be treated to an exciting programme covering the most pressing topics and trends in the industry, with opinion and analysis delivered by a diverse range of expert speakers.

The latest speaker to sign up for the event is Christine Brunel-Ligneau, senior key relationship manager of food chain management at Bayer CropScience.

Christine is ideally placed to participate in session five of the event, 'Finding a sustainable future for fresh vegetables', having spent time at Bayer supporting the implementation of food chain partnerships worldwide – notably the development of the Bayer Sustainability Radar for measuring the contribution of food chain partnerships towards sustainable agriculture.

She joins an exciting programme that will delve into the shape of the international vegetable market, consumer demand, marketing and EU regulations, among other subjects.
