Chiquita Brands International has announced the release of an expanded consumer loyalty app, Chiquita FanFun.

Developed with the help of FunMobility, the leader in mobile web promotion software, the app is now available from both the iTunes App Store and the Google Play Store.

The app features numerous interactive games, customisable photos, quizzes, a sweepstake and hundreds of recipes to engage users and reward them with loyalty points that can be redeemed for a variety of Chiquita brand merchandise.

“We are expanding the mobile engagement of Chiquita consumers,” said Rob Adams, director of marketing and channel sales at Chiquita. “This is a creative breakthrough for our category and we’ll be looking forward to building greater momentum through this new app with consumers.”

As the official fresh snack of Little League Baseball and Softball, the Chiquita FanFan App includes the Little League Card Maker, a feature that lets users upload photos and convert them into authentic baseball cards.

In addition, the app now also offers a library of healthy and delicious ways to add bananas to a family’s diet, a variety of arcade games for all ages and quizzes that will test a user’s knowledge of bananas and the Chiquita brand.
 
Interacting with or sharing app content will earn users points that can then be applied to purchases of exclusive Chiquita apparel, toys and accessories at the online Chiquita Store.
