The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has revealed that Ecuador has requested that the US allows fresh Andean blackberries and raspberries to be imported into the country. 

According to the USDA, Morocco has similarly asked to allow importations of fresh raspberries fruit into the US.

USDA's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service's Center for Plant Health Science and Technology has drafted two separate pathway-initiated risk analyses for the two requests.

"Both draft documents are available for 30 days for stakeholders to review and provide comments," the USDA noted.
