Watsonville-based California Giant has hired Jonathan Sparks to strengthen its sales team in preparation for the new berry season.
Sparks brings almost 20 years of produce industry experience and will be managing existing trading partner accounts as well as developing new business relationships for the company.
Most recently he was the berry category manager for Robinson Fresh where he worked with the full line of berries he will be selling at California Giant.
In recent years California Giant has expanded its acreage and growing regions for all berry types.
“The timing is perfect to add to our team as we launch into the beginning of the spring and we are very pleased Jonathan wanted to come on
board,” said Anthony Gallino, vice president of sales. “He will definitely complement the existing group and provide the extra depth we really need.”
