Del Monte launches smoothie line

Del Monte Fresh Produce has launched a range of smoothie kits at select retailers across North America.

The leading marketer and distributor of fresh and fresh-cut fruit and vegetables announced the launch of its new Smoothie Kit products on 30 March, with four mixtures – antioxidant, super fruit, energiser and ‘C Your Vitamins’.

The smoothie kits are portable cups filled with fresh cut fruit and vegetables that can be added to other drinks and blended for an on-the-go smoothie.

“We are excited to introduce our pre-measured smoothie kit line to grocery stores and convenience channels,” said Dennis Christou, Del Monte Fresh Produce vice president of marketing, North America. “All you have to do is simply add your favourite beverage and/or ice and blend! It’s perfect for the on-the-go consumer.”
