Brazilian fresh produce company Argofruta has joined Sun World’s list of worldwide licensees.
Based in Petrolina, Argofruta specialises in the production and distribution of table grapes, melons, ginger, limes, mangoes, guavas, and passion fruit.
Having invested in a new packhouse in 2015, Argofruta expects the deal with Sun World will help increase efficiency in production and distribution.
For Sun World, the move will bolster its presence in the global fruit trade.
“We’re confident that providing further access to our seedless proprietary varieties will allow producers to maximise their revenues while increasing the seedless grape volume in Brazil and the visibility of our varietal brands,” Sun World vice president of licensing, Garth Swinburn, said.
The new licensee joins more than 70 licensed marketers around the world who sell Sun World fruit varieties.
