Leading US apple grower-packer-exporter Stemilt Growers has teamed up with renowned Indian chocolatier Zeba Kohli to release the Appelicious cookbook.
Featuring recipes that infuse chocolate with apples, the cookbook highlights the health properties of both products. This includes suggestions for making chocolate from the natural sugar found in apples.
“Apples and chocolate are a match made in heaven and having one of the leading suppliers in the market on board gave me so much insight into the business of apples,” said Kohli.“We want people to know that even indulgences can be healthy, and we are sure our readers and consumers will love what is in store for them.”
Appelicious was officially launched at an event hosted by Stemilt’s Indian import partner, IG International, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Mumbai on Tuesday (26 May).
The launch event featured a live cooking demonstration using recipes from the cookbook.
IG International director Tarun Arora said the book’s release compliments the company’s aim to introduce Indian consumers to the best produce from around the world.
“Zeba Kohli is the best at what she does, and her chocolates are truly delicious,” Arora explained. “By joining forces, Zeba and Stemilt Growers have produced this beautiful cookbook, full of recipes on using apples with chocolate.”
