British Airways (BA) World Cargo has announced further reductions to its fuel surcharge as prices continue to decline.

The new surcharge will be £0.48/US$0.70/€0.70, with effect from 15 December 2008. The move comes two weeks after the previous change, when it was announced that prices would fall to £0.51/US$0.75/€0.75, effective 1 December.

'We are reducing the fuel surcharge following another decline in fuelprices,' said Adam Carson, senior manager of revenue management atBritish Airways World Cargo.

BA's fuel surcharge index is updated on a weekly basis.
