The Almond Board of California (ABC) has announced that nomination petitions for two independent grower members and alternate positions on the board must be entered by 20 January if they are to be considered.

Candidates must be growers, the organisation said, and must have a petition signed by at least 15 independent almond growers verified by the board stating the position interested in.

Two independent handler member and alternate positions are also available, the ABC said, with one cooperative grower member as well as an alternate nominee selected through cooperative association.
