US-based stonefruit and table grape grower-distributor Fruit Patch has announced in a press release the appointment of Mike Hatcher to its expanding sales team, with effect from 19 January.
Mr Hatcher, originally from Reedley, California, started his career in the stonefruit business and has spent the last six years handling strawberry sales at Dole-Coastal’s berry business and most recently with Naturipe and its year-round strawberry, blueberry and raspberry deal.
In joining Fruit Patch’s sales team, Mr Hatcher is returning home to the San Joaquin Valley and is expected to bring his national fresh fruit connections to Fruit Patch’s fruit program during the 2009 season.
“Mike has been a solid performer wherever he has worked and his industry relationships will be a great addition to Fruit Patch’s future go-to-market programs,” explained Rick Eastes, the company’s vice-president of sales and marketing. “We are fortunate that Mike wishes to return to his roots here in the San Joaquin Valley to raise his family.”
With the new addition, Mr Eastes is confident Fruit Patch has established a unique team of sales professionals to market the company’s line-up of premium stonefruit and table grape varieties in 2009.
