Danish oil and shipping group AP Moller-Maersk said on Monday it was raising its container shipping rates from April 1 for transatlantic trade because of market instability, according to Reuters.
The company, which operates the world's largest container shipping line, said it would raise prices by US$160 per 20-foot dry container between Northern Europe and the east coast and Gulf coast of North America.
Maersk said in a statement it would also raise container rates by US$200 between Northern Europe and the west coast of North America.
