A number of senior management changes are set to be made to the US corporate structure of transportation group NYK Line, according to the chief operating officer of the group's North American division Bill Payne.

On 1 April, changes at the group's Secaucus headquarters in New Jersey will come into place, with Gregory Tuthill becoming vice-president of trade management and Melvina Wong-Zaza stepping into the role of vice-president of customer services.

Meanwhile, Richard Breffeilh will take over as vice-president of operations, with Chris Capodanno taking the role as vice-president of sales

'Today's tough business environment requires the right team in place to tackle challenges head on,' said Mr Payne in a statement.

Bill Niemann, currently senior vice-president of sales, will remain at the offices to oversee the changes until 1 July, when he will adopt an advisory role.
