Leading US-based grower-shipper Progreso Produce has announced an exclusive sales and marketing agreement with Skyline Produce to market red, white, yellow and sweet onions in bulk and consumer packs.

The deal will add volumes to Progreso's year-round onion programme, rounding out the summer months with production from May through to September.

"We have a family history with the staff at Skyline that goes back over 25 years," said Progreso sales manager Gary Palmer. "We understand them and they understand us, allowing for a solid relationship built on trust."

Skyline produce grows over 200ha of onions and has been in the business for around 10 years.

"This is a perfect partnership for us to continue to grow and do what we do best, while Progreso sells and does what they do best," said Skyline managing partner Marty Franzoy. "Our family history shows us they know how to get the job done."
