The Asiafruit Congress will boast an impressive range of expert speakers when it gets underway in September, as yet more leading industry figures sign up to participate in the Hong Kong-based event.

George Singleton of Publicis Worldwide, one of the world's leading advertising and communications groups, will provide his unique insights on marketing to the Asian consumer in a session entitled 'Success stories in consumer marketing' on Day One.

Mr Singleton, Publicis' chief strategy officer for Greater China, will offer a perspective from outside of the fresh produce industry on the changing values of the Chinese consumer and the marketing efforts of major food companies in the country, which are increasingly adopting concepts of freshness.

Meanwhile, Phil Morris of Chaoda Green Leaf and Bill Gerlach of Melissa's World Variety Produce will present on the opportunities and challenges they see in sourcing fresh fruit and vegetables from Asia for the European and US markets respectively in the opening session of Day Two, entitled 'Asia: the sourcing opportunity'.

Both Chaoda Green Leaf and Melissa's are playing pioneering roles in introducing new Asian products to the UK/European and US markets respectively, and these speakers will shed light on their strategies for success.

The new speakers are just the latest in a series of high-profile industry figures to confirm their participation in the Asiafruit Congress programme. For a full copy of the provisional programme and details of all speakers signed up to date, go to our website www.asiafruitcongress.com

For the third year running the Asiafruit Congress joins forces with ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA, the annual international trade show for fresh produce marketing in Asia, giving delegates the chance to develop and strengthen business in the region with a mix of informative programme sessions and a variety of networking opportunities under one roof.
