dragon fruit generic

Vietnamese dragon fruit have been selling well in the US since the middle of May, making a comeback after a number of setbacks to exports.

The fruit was selling for about US$10 per kg, according to Nguyen Huu Dat, director of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development’s Post-imports Plant Quarantine Centre.

Vietnamese dragon fruit is selling well in Chinese and Vietnamese in the US, said Mr Dat, who has been on a fact-finding trip in the country.

In markets like the May Hao Market in Arkansas, Hong Kong Market Place and Nam Hung Supermarket in Texas, supplies of dragon fruit were not enough to keep up with demand.
