Imagination Farms has launched a new range of Disney Garden-branded red seedless table grape cups for the US market in partnership with California-based supplier Delano Farms, according to a company press release.
The grape cups use attractive packaging featuring characters from Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story and are available in a 4-pack sleeve or individual 3.5 oz single-serve packages, Imagination Farms said.
“We continue to see success in our Disney Garden mix of products, and our value-added line continues to grow,” explained Mark Haun, Imagination Farms national sales manager.
“The addition of grape cups is a perfect extension of our lunchbox line of products, and it offers another wholesome snack alternative that helps us meet our goal of increasing consumption of fruits and vegetables among children.”
The ability to offer fruits and vegetables in easy-to-consume convenience packages is an important factor in delivering healthier options for families, according to Embola Ndi, vice-president of Food, Health & Beauty for Disney Consumer Products North America.
“Red Seedless Grape Cups are just one of the many wholesome products that Imagination Farms and their co-packers provide to consumers nationwide,” Mr Ndi said. “The Disney Garden program supports Disney’s commitment to providing healthy snacking and food alternatives for children.”
The chance to expand the Disney Garden grape category with a value added offering was an exciting opportunity, according to Scott Jones, marketing manager at Delano Farms.
“The success of other value-added products like Disney Garden sliced apples and Foodles gives us high expectations for the success of our Disney Garden Red Seedless Grape Cup program,” noted Mr Jones.
In addition to conventionally-grown red seedless grapes featuring the Toy Story characters, Delano Farms will also offer Disney Garden 3-Pack Organic Red Seedless Grape Cup packages in the spring.
Like other organic products in the Disney Garden line, the Organic Red Seedless Grape Cup offer will feature characters from Disney Winnie the Pooh and Friends.
