The US National Watermelon Promotion Board (NWPB) has revealed in a press release the appointment of new officers and members of the organisation’s executive committee.
The appointments were announced at the recently held Spring Board of Directors meeting on 20 February, in Dallas, Texas.
The NWPB officers and Executive Committee members are as follows:
Officers:
President – Chandler Mack, Lake Wales, FL
1st Vice President – Jimmy Henderson, McAllen, TX
Executive Committee:
District 1 – Chandler Mack, Lake Wales, FL
District 2 – Keith Hall, Ryan, OK
District 3 – Bob Rawlins, Rebecca, GA
District 4 – Kelly Tyner, Vincennes, IN
District 5 – Ron Perry, Manteca, CA
District 6 – Tony Anderson, McAllen, TX
District 7 – Raul Paez, Nogales, AZ
Importers – Jimmy Henderson, McAllen, TX
Ex-Officio – Josh Bailey, Schoolcraft, MI
The executive committee represents each district and meets with NWPB staff by teleconference once a month.
NWPB is based in Orlando, Florida, and represents 1,700 watermelon growers, shippers and importers across the US.
