Nominations for the Fruit Logistica Innovation Award (FLIA) 2009 have begun, with the competition open to any company exhibiting at next year's Fruit Logistica, due to be held in Berlin, Germany on 4-6 February 2009.
The FLIA recognises outstanding innovation in the fruit and vegetableindustry and associated service sectors. The award will be presented to winning entry at Fruit Logistica 2009 by exhibition organisers Messe Berlin and German trade publication Fruchthandel.
The competition is restricted to companies or organisations which have brought an innovative product or service to market since 1 November 2007.
The ten best entries will be selected by a professional jury and showcased during Fruit Logistica 2009, with visitors to the show casting their votes during the course of the event.

The closing date for entries is 28 November 2008.
