A strategic cooperation agreement has been signed between Macfrut organiser Cesena Fiera and Fresh Summit organiser Produce Marketing Association (PMA), aimed at ensuring the exchange of useful information and contacts.
The joint venture will see key details shared between the two events on the main players in the fresh produce sector, from the production side through to retail.
'This agreement is one more step forward in the process of internationalising Macfrut,' said Cesena Fiera president Domenico Scarpellini.
'After many years of mutual respect and recognition between Macfrut and PMA, this agreement creates market development opportunities for our partners in an extremely interesting area, namely the Mediterranean,' added Nancy Tucker, vice-president of global business development at PMA.
Macfrut takes place at Cesena Fiera in Italy on 6-8 October this year, with the PMA Fresh Summit held in Orlando from 15-18 October.
