Well-Pict school promotion

Well-Pict Berries has announced in a press release that the company will once again team up with Lifetime Television’s “The Balancing Act” to showcase the nutritious and delicious attributes of Well-Pict’s premium berries as schools across the US gear up to enter the new academic year.

In addition, the company is giving away over US$3,000 in prizes in the 2nd Annual The Balancing Act Back-to-School Sweepstakes, including a strawberry-skinned 16GB iPad with Wi-Fi.

The Back-to-School Sweepstakes begin today (Monday 2 August) and will run until 17 September on Well-Pict’s company website or Facebook page.

The new episode, scheduled to air on 20 August and 3 and 7 September at 8 am et/pt, was shot in July at BrandStar Entertainment Studios in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

According to the company, the topic was simple – “inform moms and dads not only of the health benefits of these “superfood” berries (including how they supply the recommended daily allowance of Vitamin A and C for children), but also give them easy-to-prepare recipes for lunchboxes and after school snacks”.

“Last February, Well-Pict partnered with Lifetime for a Valentine’s Day episode, and the email response and feedback was so positive, we decided to do a follow-up for back-to-school to help parents across the country,” explained Dan Crowley, Well-Pict sales manager.

“With studies showing that our berries are overwhelmingly loved by kids, The Balancing Act’s audience and our mission to inform families of the healthy benefits of our proprietary berries was a natural fit,” Mr Crowley added.

“By getting the word out to parents on how simple it is to incorporate our naturally delicious berries into a child’s diet, we really feel we can help make it easier for parents to get their kids to eat healthier.”

Since 1969, Well-Pict has grown and shipped premium, proprietary variety strawberries, raspberries and blackberries, available today in both organic and conventional lines all-year round.
