Giumarra VBM has announced in a news release the addition of three new employees to its sales team – Marco Nuques and Jon Palecko, as well as former operations manager Ruth Campos-Martínez.
Mr Nuques comes to Giumarra VBM from Global Pacific Produce, where he most recently served as trading manager.
Mr Nuques has 10 years experience in the produce industry and is now based at Giumarra VBM’s West Coast office in Vernon, California, managing key retail accounts and developing new business.
Having worked at Giumarra VBM’s West Coast office for three years, Ms Campos-Martínez is now joining the sales team and will coordinate shipments and build relationships with new and existing customers.
Mr Palecko, meanwhile, joins the company’s East Coast sales team based in Avondale, Pennsylvania where he will be responsible for developing retail accounts and helping to manage orders.
Mr Palecko previously worked at Philip Rosenau as a distributor sales representative and also worked for the Oppenheimer Group as a quality control specialist from 2003 to 2006.
“As we continue to increase our grower base, we are also expanding our sales team to provide excellence service to our customers,” said Stan Crafton, general manger of Giumarra VBM.
Giumarra VBM supplies blackberries, blueberries and raspberries to retail and foodservice customers across North America on a year-round basis.
