Enzafruit New Zealand (Continent) has obtained IFS Logistic certification, achieving the 'Higher Level' status.
IFS Logistic is a standard established by French and Germany retailers to bring production and retail closer together and to increase transparency throughout the supply chain.
Managing director Tony Fissette described the company's gaining of the certification as a 'great achievement'.
'Quality, food safety, service and satisfied customers are the most important aspects of our company's culture,' he said. 'This certification is a recognition for our company and our staff, but furthermore also for our partners whom we are working with. Further, this certification shows that the well-being of the consumers is important to us: it is our goal to protect the consumer and to make sure that he can buy a good quality and healthy product.'
