Antonio Rognoni has been named as the new logistics director of Battaglio Gestioni, the holding company of Turin-based fresh produce importer Battaglio.
Known to many in the business as the founder of logistics and distribution specialist Med Reefer and former commercial manager of Genoa-based logistics and handling company Clerici Group, Mr Rognoni is expected to bring a wealth of experience and industry contacts to the company.
'He's a manager who is appreciated for his independence,' said a spokesperson for Battaglio. 'He has worked for some of the leaders in maritime-port logistics and he is known as an expert in the handling of fresh fruit and vegetable products.'
The spokesperson added: 'Our collaboration with Mr Rognoni is a new, important sign of the constant attention that our company places on development, growth and consolidation of financial results.'
