Rijk Zwaan Asia Fruit Logistica

Dutch vegetable seed group Rijk Zwaan has revealed that it will be placing its 'Love My Salad' consumer website at the heart of its participation at this year's Asia Fruit Logistica, which takes place in Hong Kong on 7-9 September this year.

According to the company, one of the main aims of the site is to stimulate the consumption of vegetables, and fresh salads in particular – something that it feels ties in well with the current challenge of encouraging Asian consumers to eat more raw vegetables.

In addition, the Love My Salad site is designed to bring consumers and growers into contact with one another, which is a new step in terms of services offered by Rijk Zwaan.

Throughout the event, a leading Malaysian chef will be on the Rijk Zwaan stand preparing fresh salads for visitors, while the company will also host a special ‘Love My Salad’ dinner on the evening of Thursday 9 September, during which three guests will have the opportunity to prepare their own salads with help and guidance from the chef.

Rijk Zwaan will also be focusing on several other concepts and projects in Hong Kong, including the ‘Caribbean goes Asia’ and ‘Mellissimo’ melon concepts, as well as its Salanova lettuce offering.
