Food freshly has taken its 3-PPP concept for pre-sanitising, process water disinfection and preservation to the South African market.
After many years of research and development the products – the brainchild of Sukhdev Singh – have been patented, andare being manufactured in Germany.
Philip Irving, managing director of Gerber Fresh, recently purchased the agency for Southern Africa, welcoming Food Freshly's sanitisers and shelf-life extenders for their ability to add value to the fresh processed and packaged fruit and vegetable industry.
Gerber Fresh is currently undertaking trials in South Africa and achieved what it described as 'excellent results beyond to their expectations'.
'The South African retail market requires SABS (South African Bureau of Standards) approval and we anticipate being certified early in the next year,' the group confirmed.
Gerber Fresh launched the entire Food freshly products range at the recent All Fresh Conference in Sun City in October, and noted that potential customers had expressed a 'keen interest'.
