Giovanni ‘Nino’ Bocchi, the well-known and admired owner of Verona-based fresh produce company The Bocchi Group, has passed away following a long battle with cancer. He was 66.
Mr Bocchi founded the family-owned company in the 1980s and transformed it into one of Europe’s largest fresh fruit and vegetable enterprises, as well as a major grower and exporter in Argentina. Bocchi Fruit Trade International now operates as Univeg Trade International, following a merger with Univeg in early 2006.
The facility has 24 ripening cells on two levels and two packaging lines with a capacity of 45 trays per minute
