Enzafruit International, the subsidiary of topfruit grower and marketer Turners & Growers in New Zealand, has announced that Michael 'Snow' Hardy has been appointed as the group's new general manager.
Mr Hardy, currently the chief executive officer of Delica New Zealand, will replace the departing Dawn Gray, who will leave the company in 2009 to take up the role of senior vice-president of sales, marketing and categories at Oppenheimer Group in Canada.
'Snow comes to Enza International with a solid track record of achievement in the pipfruit industry, most recently having established through Delica NZ the very successful Asia Trading Platform for sales of Enza pipfruit into Asian, Middle Eastern and Russian markets,' said Jeff Wesley, group managing director at Turners & Growers/Enza.
Mr Wesley added that a plan will be issued in the next few weeks outlining details of the transitional phase.
