A prediction of a good Navel orange season in the Riverina have been upheld as the current season progresses well.

The Riverina Citrus company is harvesting good quality fruit with no export issues, according to Country News.

Mid-season Washington Navels are coming to a close, and the harvest has gone well. Late season Navels are expected to be of good quality.

Riverina Citrus CEO Peter Morrish said lower water allocations in the Riverland and Sunraysia regions would result in smaller Navel oranges in the latter part of the season.
