Damco wins sustainability award
Logistics provider's efforts to reduce carbon footprints are recognised at SCM Logistics World Conference
Damco has won the Supply Chain Sustainability category at this year's SCM Logistics Excellence Awards, which are voted for by supply chain practitioners around the world.
AP Moller Maersk's forwarding arm was recognised for its "excellent track record in championing methodologies and processes in enhancing their partners' sustainability initiatives in conjunction with their service delivery," according to Eleanor Uy of SCM Logistics World Conference organiser Terrapinn.
Speaking at a ceremony in Singapore, Damco's global head of green logistics, Sarah Flagg, said: "We are very proud of award and we will continue to keep green logistics and sustainability as a core component of our supply chain management services."
Last year Denmark-based Damco won the Supply Chain Best Partnership award.
