Australian citrus growers and packers will benefit from a new corporate partnership between Top End Training and peak industry body Citrus Australia.
Top End Training will offer the citrus industry access to its nationally recognised horticultural training programme at a discounted rate for Citrus Australia grower members.
Citrus Australia’s Chief Executive Officer, Judith Damiani, underlined the importance of this partnership, saying that regular training and assessment played a vital role in the development any horticultural business.
“The skills that Top End Training provides will assist our growers and their staff to maintain world class horticulture production skills and capability,” Ms Damiani said.
Top End Training offer training and assessment services within a variety of sectors, including horticulture, agriculture, transport and logistics and workplace safety.
“The programme is focussed on ensuring that growers and staff are on top of compliance and safety requirements,” Top End Training director Bill Morrish said. “It will enable businesses to reap the rewards through an increase in productivity from skilled workers and reduced workplace incidents.”
