Legend Holdings, parent company to leading Chinese fruit company Joyvio, has announced plans to raise up to US$1.94bn in an initial public offering (IPO) on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Expected to be listed on 29 June, the Beijing-based corporation has said it expects to sell more than 350m shares at US$5.13 to US$5.55 each and will use more than half of the funds raised from the IPO to boost strategic investments and acquisitions.

Legend Holdings it also the major shareholder in multinational PC maker Lenovo, which was publically listed in Hong Kong in 1994.
