Port of Los Angeles

June 2015 containerised cargo volumes at the Port of Los Angeles decreased 2 per cent when compared with the same period last year.

The Port handled a total of 721,802 Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units (TEUs) in June 2015.

Imports decreased 3.65 per cent, from 382,666 TEUs in June 2014 to 368,708 TEUs. Exports declined 10.7 per cent, from 160,823 TEUs to 143,549 TEUs in June 2015.

Combined, total loaded imports and exports decreased 5.75 per cent, from 543,489 TEUs to 512,257 TEUs.

For the first six months of 2015, overall volumes (3.9m TEUs) are down 3.67 per cent compared to the same period last year.
