Loscam president Sirin Limpaitoon

The Asia Pallet System Federation (APSF) has appointed Sirin Limpaitoon, president of returnable package handling solutions provider Loscam, as its new vice chairman.

Established in 2006 by founding member countries China, Japan and South Korea, APSF works to enhance logistics standardisation and to increase logistics efficiency, in order to promote trade exchange, cooperation and development in Asia. APSF currently has 11 member countries, which are formulating a plan to implement a pallet quality certification system across Asia.

During his inauguration speech at APSF’s general assembly in Beijing last week, Limpaitoon stressed the importance of standardisation in the modern supply chain.

“In Asia, Loscam has been actively engaged in the development of the logistics supply chain for more than 20 years,” he said. “We work with major stakeholders in the FMCG and retail industry, as well as relevant government organisations to develop industry standardisation with the objective of optimising supply chain efficiency and lowering total logistics costs. A standardised pallet sets the foundation for further standardisation in the logistics supply chain.”
