Global container shipper Maersk Line has announced it will end its services to and from ten inland ports in China from 1 September.
The company said it was part of its adjustments to services, and should not be interpreted as a change of strategy, reports Reuters.
“The impact is minimal, as the customers can always choose to use adjacent ports that we have service or move the cargo via merchant haulage,' a Maersk Line spokesperson told the news agency.
Maersk Line said it stop services to ports in Chizhou, Luzhou, Yingkou, Jinzhou, Rizhao, Yueyang, Lijiao, Taiping, Jiaoxin and Nansha old port.
