US-based fresh fruit and vegetables exporter Vanguard International has appointed Yuyuh Sukmana as regional manager for South East Asia.
Sukmana will manage the annual sales and marketing responsibilities for Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand.
Sukmana has worked with Vanguard International over the past 10 years, having previously gained retail accounting, marketing, and sales experience with leading retailers such as Hero, Lotus, and Tops.
“Yuyuh has a strong background in retail and a keen understanding of the supply chain and what it means to deliver the right fruit to the right customer with exceptional customer service skills,” said Craig Stauffer, chief executive of Vanguard International. “We are confidant that with Yuyuh’s experience and background that he will continue to guide Vanguard’s success in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.”
Prior to the promotion, Sukmana served as Vanguard International’s market manager for Indonesia. The company’s current marketing manager of Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, Sharon Jones, will now report to and work directly with Sukmana.
