Fruit Logistica is launching a social media campaign this week to mark its 25th anniversary: #25fruits.

Founded in 1993 as the result of an industry impulse, Fruit Logistica has evolved to become a global trade fair for the fresh produce industry.

"We know that our exhibitors and visitors are passionate about fruit and vegetables," explained Fruit Logistica global brand manager Wilfried Wollbold. "This passion is a consistent factor in a great industry that has seen impressive development over the past 25 years. We want to highlight this diversity and celebrate it with the #25fruits campaign."

Love of the product is the main focus of #25fruits. Exhibitors, trade visitors and fresh produce fans are invited to take selfies with fruit and post the pictures as a Facebook comment on Fruit Logistica fan page or to Instagram @25fruits. The images will then be shared with the huge international Fruit Logistica community. Participants who do not use these social media channels can upload their photos to www.fruitlogistica.com.

#25fruits starts today and ends on 10 February 2017, the last day of Fruit Logistica 2017. Until then, there will be 25 different weekly challenges. The theme for the first Challenge is "My favourite yellow fruit".

Five to ten of the best photos from each challenge will be posted on the Fruit Logistica website, Facebook and Instagram profiles. They will also be displayed at the Berlin exhibition site during Fruit Logistica on 8–10 February 2017.
