New Zealand-based post-harvest equipment manufacturer Wyma Solutions has entered a strategic partnership with Volm Companies, a leading North American supplier of fresh produce packaging and equipment solutions.

The deal will see the companies create a combined equipment and engineering portfolio, to deliver what they claim is an “unmatched” customer experience. This will include the manufacturing of select Wyma products in North America for the local market.

The partnership builds on an existing relationship, with Volm Companies representing Wyma in the North American fresh potato market for over a decade.

“As the relationship has strengthened over time, we are pleased to be a strategic partner and we look forward to showcasing the combined capabilities of both organisations,” said Matthew Alexander, vice president of sales and marketing, Volm Companies.

As part of the evolution of this relationship, both companies will be adding to their sales, engineering, technical service and manufacturing resources.

“Wyma is confident this partnership with Volm will maximise the effectiveness of cooperation and ultimately benefit our customers with high quality, complete solutions,” said Andrew Barclay, managing director of Wyma Solutions.
