A Vietnamese government delegation is hoping to establish fruit exports to Russia, reports Vietnamplus.vn

Permanent vice secretary of Vietnam’s Vinh Phuc province, Tran Van Vinh, and his entourage arrived in Moscow on 3 September for the start of a trade mission to promote dragon fruit and banana exports to Russia, the website said.

Welcoming the delegation, Vietnam’s charge d’affaires to Russia Lai Ngoc Doan said he hoped information gained from the trip would be used when formulating the province’s economic and trade policy to Russia. The Embassy of Vietnam in Moscow has been working to connect Vietnamese enterprises with the Russian market, he added.

Permanent vice secretary Vinh said the Vinh Phuc province produces ‘clean’ fruit.

The delegation visited the Hanoi-Moscow trade centre in Moscow to learn how to establish a business representative at the centre, the report said.
