There has been a surge in interest from new exhibitors ahead of the official registration deadline for Asia's only fresh produce trade fair and conference event.
Companies from all over the world have signed up to exhibit at Asia Fruit Logistica, which takes place alongside the Asiafruit Congress on 2-4 September 2009 in Hong Kong.
'Fresh produce markets in Asia offer some very important opportunities for growth at the moment,' said Gérald Lamusse, managing director of GPE Global Produce Events GmbH which organises Asia Fruit Logistica. 'It's a factor that is very relevant today in the current economic climate.'
In addition to new companies signing up to take space at the three-day trade fair and conference event, existing exhibitors are also planning to expand their presence at Asia Fruit Logistica this year.
'Asia Fruit Logistica offers you the best opportunity to develop new relationships and foster existing partnerships in the fresh produce business in Asia,' said Mr Lamusse.
The official registration deadline for Asia Fruit Logistica is on 28 February 2009.
