Scientists in Pakistan have revealed that they have conducted a series of experiments on mango diseases with the ultimate aim of producing written guidelines that better inform mango growers on how to manage their crops.

The research, which was conducted at Sindh Agriculture University, looked at different aspects of mango diseases including mango sudden death syndrome and mango tree mortality, according to The News.

In the published guidelines, which will be printed in English, Urdu and Sindhi, these diseases and others are broken down and explained along with suggestions for how to control them, according to University professor of plant pathology M Mithal Jiskani.

A joint study involving the Sindh Agriculture University and the University of Karachi has also been conducted to assess the current mango production situation in the country and collect further diseased samples.
