Damco, the new combined brand of A.P. Møller-Maersk's logistics activities, has announce that it has appointed Anne Marcotty as its new chief commercial officer for North Asia, taking on overall responsibilities for business development in the region.

Damco CEO Steffen Schiottz-Christensen said that the group was 'delighted' to welcome Ms Marcotty to the company.

'Her depth of experience and professionalism will add tremendous value to strengthening our client relationships and operational performance,' he said. 'Anne brings a strong track record in development of sound go-to-market strategies. This will help Damco to achieve regional excellence as we prepare for sustainable growth.'

Ms Marcotty added that she saw great opportunities for the booming Asian logistics market.
