Leading US stonefruit and grape packer-marketer Fruit Patch Sales has announced that Sheri Mierau is to take over as vice-president of sales and marketing with effect from 1 January.
Ms Mierau will join the group from the California Tree Fruit Agreement (CTFA), where she has held the role of president since 2007. Prior to her appointment to that role, she operated as vice-president of marketing for the CTFA.
“We are excited about Sheri joining the management team at Fruit Patch,” said Fruit Patch CEO Scott Wallace. “Sheri did an excellent job leading the California Tree Fruit Agreement, plus she has extensive experience in the retail grocery industry. We believe the addition of Sheri will allow us to take grower returns to the next level in 2010 and for many years to come.”
Meanwhile, Ms Mireau expressed her excitement at taking on the role. 'I'm truly excited about getting back into sales and marketing. It's time for me to go back to what I truly love.'
