IFCO pallet with produce

It has proved a successful first quarter of 2010 for international logistics service provider IFCO Systems, with group revenues climbing by 10.9 per cent to US$188.4m (€$139.5m).

Operational profitability for the three-month period soared by 29.2 per cent year-on-year, up to US$31.8m (€23.6m), while EBITDA reached US$136.6m (€101.2m), the highest in the group's history.

RPC management services showed 'robust and sustainable' growth, IFCO said, with revenue up 23 per cent to US$103.5m (€76.6m) and EBITDA rising 37.4 per cent to US$27.4m (€20.3m).

Pallet management services stabilised at similar levels to 2009, with revenues at US$84.9m (€62.9m) and EBITDA up 6.2 per cent to US$6.9m (€5.1m).
