Singapore carrier APL has been given the ‘Asian Container Shipping Line of the Year’ award for the third year running by Lloyd’s List Asia.
APL was announced as the winner of the category at the 12th annual Lloyd’s List Asia awards on Thursday night, reported CNA, beating out competitors Emirates and Maersk.
Judging the award was a panel of shipping experts, who selected APL based on service, innovation and on-time performance.
“We’re gratified to be recognised with this honour again,” APL president Eng Aik Meng said in a press release. “To have won in 2008, 2009 and 2010 shows the passion our employees have for the shipping industry and our customers.”
