Avocados

Jen Scouler, who is finishing up a four-year tenure as New Zealand’s consul general and trade commissioner at the New Zealand Consulate in Germany, has been appointed chief executive of the Avocado Industry Council.

The Bay of Plenty Times reported that Mrs Scouler is looking forward to returning to her rural home in New Zeland’s Bay of Plenty area with her husband and two daughters, to take up the position.

She is already well known to those in the kiwifruit industry having spent seven years working in a number of roles for Zespri International.

NZ Avocado Growers’ Association and Avocado Industry Council chairman John Schnackenberg told the newspaper the board was looking forward to working with her.
